hearts and teddy bears

today was super productive. i spent the entire day in bed, and i'm not even exaggerationg by a second. it was an absolutely glorious day. i am finally all well rested and don't have bags under my eyes anymore. so refreshing. tonight was the "you have a friend in me" toy story themed welcoming party for all the new arrivals. these two hour parties really are quite interesting; you go in, get your free pizza and drinks, and then watch all the americans go crazy with the jumping up and down and fist pumping. and that was basically the extent of my night. some of my friends are going to the house of blues, which is a club in downtown disney. i was so set on going, because i figure i don't need to drink to have fun, right? then i get the huge let down that you have to be nineteen to go there. i was so, so, so close. what a disappointment eh? a lot of the people i know either pre-drink to coming to the parties hosted at the housing complexes, or go out to clubs afterwards. i fall into neither of those categories. which is okay, i am still making the best of the intoxicating music that encourages you to laugh at people who believe their dancing skills are beyond excellent (when really and truly, they so are not.) but i really don't mind, they provide a great source of entertainment.

today is the last day of january. can you believe how fast time is flying?! it's insane! it is two weeks til valentines day. for some people, it's the most romantic, sweet, amazing day. for others, depressing would be the correct adjective. the stores are filled with pink and red everything, decorated with hearts and teddy bears and picture-perfect images of love. i find it so disturbing. valentine's is not a holiday, why must there be constant reminders of it everywhere you look? i guess marketers just want to lure the hopeless romantics in to buy their products. anyways, getting off that topic, and back to how fast time is moving, i remember when christmas day came and everyone kept saying how they couldn't believe how christmas was here already. and now the first month of 2012 is over. i can't keep up with it!

anyways, a lack of events today results in a lack of information for my blog, so i bid you farewell at this point, and wish everyone a fantastic february! here's to completing the first month of adventures this year! xoxo
